Highlight of Coburg! Its a very popular place and rightly so. The falafel are delicious. Being Egyptian, they’re different from anything else in the area. But they are crisp crunchy nuggets of goodness. Served with the requisite pickles they’re worth getting just as a side.
The Colibaba falafel wrap came recommended and it was delicious.
The ful medames was different from what I expected (more chunks of tomato but overall runnier than I’ve had elsewhere) but seems to be fairly standard in Egypt. It was still tasty, which is the main thing!
Tiny little hidden gem. Wish I worked/lived near this place as Id be a regular. A really easy to read menu with super fresh ingredients thatve been prepared with love. With so many kebab places this place manages to stand out from them all. The service is so lovely they genuinely care that you enjoy their food. And that you will!
I can see why this place is such an establishment with fast and friendly service plus delicious, affordable and satisfying food. Certainly will be a regular of mine when Im craving falafel
I admit that I have never been a big fan of the falafel. Half moon is the best one I have tasted in Melbourne. Each ball was fried to absolute perfection. Loving it.
