Although the food is delicious but portions are small. Falafel wrap is good and filling but the mixed grill chicken is only 2 skinny chicken skewers bulked with lots of salad and a small hint of hummus. Expensive for the size.
Service is below average… no water or napkins served.. no one to check if we need anything and the staff is not so courteous.
Not a great experience here. I went with a large group and everything came out in dribs and drabs. My meat wasnt even cold and the staff were annoyed that I sent it back. Food wise I have had better elsewhere for sure
Ok. I’ve given this place many chances due to the felafel being tasty and so god damn cheap but I can’t ignore what happened tonight. I preordered my felafel whilst grocery shopping to avoid having to wait for ages in the restaurant as per usual as all people dining in appear to be served their food first. Even though I arrived 15 minutes after ordering, not only did the man forget to make my order he didn’t apologize, made me wait another 5 minutes despite my felafels being taken out of the frier and ready to wrap, but he made my felafel with wet, raw meaty, drippy hands. I could noticeably see the meat juices whilst he was using tongs to add salad to my wrap. I will not be coming to Middle Eastern anymore. I suggest all people seeking a felafel fix to head to HALF MOON CAFE in Victoria st, Coburg. They are incredibly tasty, very generous in their serving sizes and are extremely friendly! Worth the extra $2 to avoid food poisoning and being placed in a crappy mood!
