since moving to melbourne 7 years ago from beach life i have been longing for a decent local pie, i was told by some friends that this maybe the place. i bought chunky steak pepper and it really did not disappoint! lovely home made pastry! actual chunky beef (hate it when its steak ad but just mince!!!!) got a free donut too! thank you thank you now i can no longer long for the most satisfying cuisine. will be back on the regular 🙂
There’s not much i enjoy more than a really good pie. Got a chicken and mushroom pie and it was delicious! I’ll definitely be coming back again to try some others.
It all began one day when I craved a nice freshly baked spinach and cheese roll. To my disappointment, they had sold out and I was recommended a cheese and cauliflower roll. I was hesitant at first, but now I’ve been purchasing cheese and cauliflower rolls from the local gem which is The Pie Place in Coburg since my Primary School days (in my 20s now). Staff are always friendly and service is prompt.
was passing a loved pie place today to see the owners attacking a young 12-15 year old boy, the son of the owner had the young boy by the throat and was attacking him totally out of control and he even abused me not what you want to see in coburg! shocking to the core and i will not be returning no matter how good the pie are, this people need anger management and need to be arrested for this SHOCKING!
Fantastic pies made from scratch with quality ingredients. This family business has been here for many years and continues to make the best pies in the northern suburbs. My top tip for this place is to try the cherry pie when in season.
In this time warp mall are some great tasting old school baked goods at very reasonable prices. I cant believe this place isn’t more popular.
The Meat Pies and Sausage Rolls. Don’t Bother with the Apple Pies. The meat pies and sausage rolls are okay. The apple pies have the same unsweetened pastry which is thin and dry.
