Had the most lovely Sunday evening at Bar Rosamond. Perfect cosy date spot, with only a few tables. Everything about the experience and service was friendly, authentic and completely delicious.
I highly recommend the volcanic white wine, the pasta tomato ragu and a excellent specials dish consisting of buffalo mozzarella and tomato pure (needs to go on the menu). Special thanks to Franco, keep doing what your doing, Ill be back!

I spent a wonderful 3 hours at Rosamond and was not disappointed. The food was fresh, authentically Italian and the presentation art-worthy. The staff are affable, prompt and you quickly realize a return visit is near. Just off Smith Street’s main drag Rosamond is cosy and bright. I had the apperativo spritzer (difficult to stop at one), and enjoyed freshly baked bread with dip made of olive oil, oregano, lemon and balsamic vinegar. For Starters I had Fiori di Zucchini which were to die for and brought back many fond childhood memories and also the Anchiovies. This was followed by Spaghetti alle Sardi (Siciliano Sardines) that were plump in a light saffron sauce. Desserts were exceptional; my cousin and I shared the Semifreddo and Cannoli, both were equal 1st. Coffee, what can I add, Guiseppe is a master barrista! Mille Grazie Franco, Guiseppe and Daniela.

It had been awhile since I visited last – I had read that things had changed, but I was not disappointed at all: best coffee I’ve had in months, amazing food, beautiful space, great staff!

I finally stopped by for a relaxing solo Saturday lunch and I was not disappointed at all. Franco was warm, friendly and welcoming and I felt like I was dining at a friend’s place. I started with an entree of freshly baked bread, which I was told is baked fresh every morning on the premises, with a beautifully simple olive oil based dip made of white wine vinegar, sea salt and fresh oregano. I then tucked into the delicious lamb ragu with penne pasta that was perfectly al dente. The lamb was rich and tender and the tomato based sauce was full of flavour with the buttery lamb all through the sauce. I chose the caprese salad to accompany it – it was fresh, simple and my favourite element was the buffalo mozzarella – absolutely delicious! Following a recommendation from Franco, I had the coffee panacotta for dessert – which was perfectly wobbly and surprisingly light to finish. I have been recommending Rosamond to everyone who will listen to me – it’s absolutely divine and I will definitely be eating there again!!

Lovely food, great coffee and a lovely way to start your day! Lovely background music and a really good vibe. Staff were lovely and my Persian white zucchini omelette hit the spot!

Horrible, horrible owner makes going into this cafe an impossibility. There are plenty of other great cafes in the area. Will definitely give this one a miss.

One of my new local(ish) favourites. I’ve been meaning to try this place out for ages, and a morning off a few weeks ago meant I could call in as I ambled by. I snaffled a table at the front window, pulled out my paper and enjoyed the gorgeous sun and Italian conversations surrounding me. The coffee was unbelievable. So creamy, heated to perfection and smooth to boot. I popped in again on Sunday and two of the staff entertained me whilst I waited for my friend. They were so welcoming and funny, switching between English and Italian depending on whom they were talking to. Felt like I was in a tiny cafe in the heart of Italy. Love this place. Highly recommended.
