The current 3 rating is pretty accurate from what we experienced. The previous critical reviews seem largely right, sadly. We had limited time and just wanted a quick coffee and a snack today. Short of time, we walked in here without checking the cafe rating. I wish we had had time to check. The snacks on offer looked pretty ordinary and generic overall. We chose a brownie which was just ok. Our coffees were just ok too and nothing special unfortunately. This cafe is in a prime spot with extensive seating inside and out on the street. It feels like it should be a really active and vibrant place but isnt, or not while we visited anyway. The decor looks rather limp and tired. Thats how the place itself feels overall, although the service was pleasant and I did like the chill out mix that was playing. These things are always subjective but it does feel like the place needs a remodel and an energy injection.
