3.5. We randomly walked past this place during AFL final and up we went. The place is already set up for a drag show later but showing the game for now. Only in Collingwood! Typical pub food but thats what you should be eating to watch a game. Highlights: food was very reasonably priced and plentiful. The chips looked so good! Lowlights: the nachos were pretty good but the filling in the centre was stone cold.
Its so quiet outside this bar on Smith St on a Wed night until you walk inside (upstairs) to the bar/dining area because its Drag Bingo night!! There were about 100 people there and the atmosphere was pumped up even higher by two drag queens who hosted the bing night.
Parmas were on specials for Wed nights for only $12. The Vego option used a large eggplant which was a good sub. All parmas had the choice of chips, salads or veggies. The serve was really generous and my veggies tasted like frozen veggies, flavorless but for that price you cant complain.
There were other vego options despite a one page simple menu, very considerate!!
We arrived around 8pm and had to queue for 10 minutes to submit food/drinks orders at the bar then waited for more than 20 minutes for food to arrive.
It was a fun and memorable night.
