Another fusion Japanese place in town. If youre looking for an authentic Japanese place, this place is not for you. They put a modern twist in their menu and I did enjoy it. The renkon chip, the oyster shots were amazing. Its a bit on the expensive side given the quality and quantity of each portion.
I went here with some friends last night for my birthday dinner, I was recommended this place by a friend. They said that normally the food here is for sharing but there was a big group of us some with different dietary requirements so we decided to order individually or share in small groups. I saw that this place is a bit expensive so I ate some potato chips before coming in. I ordered the vegetarian soba and it tasted nice and even though it didn’t look like a big serve it was kind of filling (maybe it was the potato chips I had before) I enjoyed the flavours but it wasn’t a big wow. I also ordered the Sumiyaki set which I enjoyed even though I was nearly full when I got it, I even liked the sweet tofu one, I don’t normally like sweet tofu but it was charred nicely. My favourites was probably the salmon and the chicken ball ones. The beef one wasn’t very exciting. Everyone on my table enjoyed their meals. The people working here were nice enough but sometimes they needed to be reminded about a drink that was ordered.

Im really grateful for Pabu Sake and Grill for being able to fit a group of us in at the last minute when Shimbashi lost our booking. The food was really delicious, especially the scallops. The people working here were nice too.
