I really liked this place a lot. Collingwood has come a long way since the seedy and tragic heroin-infested days of the 90s. Wonderful use of space, and a very breezy and upbeat vibe without the usual disaffected inner northern-burb attitude. Love the retro Black Cat of yore -style furniture. One thing though, the music was pumping waaaay too loud in the lounge area, and people (much younger than me!) were moving away so they could chat.
Otherwise – tops, and keep the hugely underrated coopers nut-brown ale on tap flowing!
Can’t believe these guys haven’t had any reviews yet! I came here with a group of friends on Saturday night after hearing about it through the grape vine, and boy am I glad we did!
The food selection is small but everything on the menu looks phenomenal. We ordered a few things to share but the standout dish was definitely the duck tacos. Food came quickly and we enjoyed it in their loungeroom-esque seating area.
The bar staff were super friendly and helpful despite being crazy busy. You can definitely see the time and effort spent in keeping this place tip top. Can’t wait to wow more of my friends by bringing them here.
Til next time Paradise!
