*Good Lunch Special*…… Really nice to see that Asta’s is now open for lunch Wed -thurs – Friday…. Always consistant and friendly reliable staff … Do try …… Also open Tuesay to Sunday nights … This is really good for eastern /croydon area.
Decent North Indian fare with an extensive menu of standard favourites. Lovely interiors, attentive staff – slightly upmarket version of your average Indian local.
Unprofessional. I bought two curries and garlic naan couple of weeks back. Naan;s were just raw dough and onion smell was coming from the naans as if someone chopping onions made the naan without washing the hands. Looking from outside, I did not find kitchen clean either. I would not recomend !!
Awesome dinner. We had a really yummy feast last night which consisted of samosas, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, lamb pasanda,
rice and naan. It was delicious!!
Average and expensive. Found myself looking for salt and pepper to flavour our vegetarian dishes. Used older, bitter, crushed garlic on the naan – managing to create the first naan my children have refused to eat. Lasi not bad.
Best Indian restaurant. I will always come back. Consistanly delicious food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Terrible service and food was burnt.
Nobody noticed that we had arrived and was standing there waiting for several minutes. The restaurant only had four other customers. There was also no bell at the door or counter to alert the staff who were nowhere to be found.
When we were finally seated and the food finally came out, we had to take our own cutlery from another table because no one bothered to give us any.
The meat was tough and the naan was burnt.
Other patrons were also clearly dissatisfied as their meals took just as long as ours and to top it off, their order was done incorrectly so they had to wait even longer. They ended up leaving the restaurant with their food in take away containers because they didn’t have time to actually eat their meals.
