Cute cafe. After ordering at the counter, waiting half an hour for our food to come out, unfortunately parts were burnt and toast was soggy. A worker apologised to us for the long wait as a new chef was hired and is slow at preparing meals. Friendly staff.
This shopfront bakery/cafe resides in Main Street Croydon, and offers modest budget level fare. I was welcomed in, and the service was friendly and attentive, albeit a bit slow. However, the menu was a little pedestrian, with burgers, wraps and the like, and very few vegetarian or vegan options. Some additional pre-made selections are displayed in a glass counter. The dcor is clean and bright, featuring a powder blue colour scheme, light timber trim, and a mustard-coloured tiled feature wall. The table settings comprise faux timber laminate tables, with black upholstered or wooden colonial style chairs. I requested a veggie burger (not listed on the menu) and it was just okay, not very inspiring. I want to like this cafe more than I do, but the limited menu and the food let it down.
I go here at least twice a week! We love the service the smell of the wonderful home baked goodies and the coffee is to die for!!!Honestly, do yourself a favour and get down there and try everything!
Some amazing homemade delights to be found here.
Although not always on the menu, if you have a special occasion make sure you order a Black Forrest Cake, it is to die for.
The staff are really nice and always happy to chat. I have never been disappointed by any of the food.
Good coffee too!
