Im generally not a fan of Thai food though I love chinese. However, after eating the food here, I am sold on this modern Thai cuisine. The food and service here is absolutely brilliant. The ambiance is also amazing and my family will be back regularly.
I really like this place. They have a lot of the staples of Thai places (pad Thai, green curry, massaman), but theyre really quite unique in a very good way. We order from here all the time, never had a problem.
Im not normally a fan of Thai food but Holy Basil Thai has changed all of that for me. Not only is it full of flavour, not too heavy, but also being so conscious, and being a sustainable restaurant, it ticks all the boxes for me!!!
Ordered takeaway and the food was very good and fresh, however, it’s too expensive for our budget so I doubt we will order again. $5 for a single thin piece of roti bread and sauce, $27 +$24 for mains and then extra for rice – $60 total for two. It was nice to try a different place though.
Nice place and people, delicious food. I got the vegan green curry and vegan tempura. However they accidentally gave us non vegan mayonnaise with the tempura which sucked. Only had one bite with it and asked if it was vegan for sure and they said no and gave us the correct vegan sauce. So be careful with that. Also my friend ordered a vegetarian meal and one piece of her tofu tasted fishy so she spat it out….. So maybe if you have fish or egg allergies, be careful. But they seemed pretty good with her onion and garlic allergies at least!
