We went here on Sunday for lunch with the family. I got a porterhouse with chips and salad, my wife got the salad with chicken. To be true – We only went here because we have this idiotic Bartercard membership with funds in it and this is a restaurant that accepts it, so hey why not try it. We got four kids meals as well; the lasagna was really nice, generous serves. The fish smelt a little strong. Chicken was tender. Overall verdict – good value for money. The food was tasty, and generous portions. We now regularly get takeaway pizza from here as well, as the service is prompt and friendly.
The only weird thing twas we were the only ones in the restaurant. Maybe too many bad reviews?

We went here on Saturday night and was very disappointed our meals had no taste at all. The staff were really nice but the meal was not, I had the grilled chicken with wine sauce no taste at all, my friend had the pizza which was tasteless as well do not waste your money we will not be going back
Six of us went there for dinner on Friday Aug11th. We decided to try it as we have been impressed with the sister restaurant in Heathmont (presently under repair). Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The food was putrid and I mean that. My entree marinara pizza had 8 shrimps/6olives and a touch of anchovy. Was soggy and tasteless and cost $17.00 (food cost would have been $1.20 maximum) My wife and friend had the share platter which was dry / overcooked and soggy arancini. The other meals were no better. We thought the main meals would be an improvement. WRONG!! 1x tasteless pasta/ 2x soggy pizzas (hardly any topping) 1x plate of dried up ribs with no sauce (extra chips requested but did not come with meal) had to ask again. 1x fish of day (no complaint with that) The most interesting item was my fried calamari and chips $25.00 . As soon as the server put it in front of me I knew the calamari was a pre-prepared and crumbed cheap product (about$8.00 per kilo) It had a grey tinge to it and was soggy (meaning it had been defrosted for some time or even re-frozen. I am not prepared to pay $25.00 for such rubbish. Last time in the Heathmont restaurant the calamari was freshly crumbed(yes I am well aware the calamari tubes come in frozen but should still be freshly crumbed.) the server took the meal back . She asked if I wanted something else but I politely declined. A few minutes later she came back to tell me that my meal was removed from our bill by the manageress. I thanked her . She then informed me that using this cheap calamari is common practice in the food industry in the area (what absolute rubbish) Had she not said that then I would not have bothered writing this review. On our way out I asked the very young manageress why she did not deal with my issue as it is her job. She informed me that the server could handle it . I also asked about the comment of hospitality outlets in the area using the cheap calamari . She claimed that it did not come from her. At no time were any of us rude or overbearing. All the staff/cooks/manageress need proper training . No wonder there was so few customers on the evening. This place is a food poisoning disaster waiting to happen. My life has been and still is dedicated to hospitality and it is such a shame to see an operation like this. (yes you took to task the wrong customer on FridayAug11th) .
I was excited when this place opened up as there are no other pizza places on Main Street. But sadly the pizzas let met down. No taste, no flavour and a bit expensive. I feel sorry for the staff because they are really nice and friendly but the restaurant is always dead, I never see anyone in there.
How long will they stay open I wonder?
If you are looking for good tasting pizza you are better going to Domino’s. Never have I been so disappointed with pizza in my life. There was no flavor whatsoever ever and the dough wasn’t even cooked properly.
Disappointed and not happy.
No where as tasty as Heathmont restaurant. Both meals had no taste at all. Staff were very friendly and helpful,but will take the time to travel to Heathmont in future.
