After a long day at the cricket yesterday cooking wasnt on the agenda so we tried to call for Thai takeaway but our original choice was closed for the Christmas break. I ended up phoning Piyada Thai and I heard such a ruckus at the other end of the line I thought this place must be good as its clearly packed to the rafters.
Hubby almost went to the wrong spot for pickup as there are actually three restaurants in this chain (and I had inadvertently called one that was further away but couldnt be bothered calling back to cancel given how noisy it was in there). Incidentally the woman kept repeating my ordered to me of prawn pad see ew as king prawn pad see ew and when I opened the container I understood why.
This was a seriously impressive dish. None of those tiny shrimp you often receive in a prawn noodle dish these were proper juicy plump prawns perfectly cooked and seven of them no less. The flavour of this was absolutely spot on too. My husbands choice was chicken pad Thai which he was also very pleased with. We have definitely found our new go to
