The food was absolutely fragrant and balanced. First time trying Afghan cuisine and was not disappointed at all. The owner was incredibly generous, authentic and kind. I look forward to returning!
I visited this restaurant last week and I must say that if you want Afghan food which has value for money then you must come to this place.
I ordered qabuli set A with chicken korma which was delicious, the bread was just right to soak all the curry. My hubby had mayecha palaw (lamb leg with qabulj rice) which was also delish. I noticed that mayecha palaw wasn’t always available at any Afghan restaurant so I’d highly recommend this dish.
The staff was also friendly and helpful.
We’d surely come back here whenever I had cravings for Afghan food 🙂
I tried the mantu dumplings and the lamb kebab skewer. The mantu dumplings came with 10 pieces. The mantu mince was nice as was the toppings however it lacked fillings. The lamb kebab skewer was well cooked but could have been marinated better.
Solid little afghan place. We ordered the $25per head banquet for which we got a lamb curry, bread, Maantu dumplings, and a lamb and chicken skewers. All the meats were cooked over charcoals in front of us (if you’re wondering what the smell is when you walk in) and we noticed the bread was a drawcard with people turning up to just make purchases of that alone. The curry was delicious, oily, but thats now those currys roll and their perfect for sopping up left over bread.
As a warning, when we went, service was slowwwww and ambience was zero but I’m only about the food so I look past that. If you’re precious about those you’ll need to put that aside.
Good service. Good food. Good range of food choices. Lots of happy people when we eat here. I even got a bonus of $50 from Liven. Overall, geat place. Planning to go back here real soon!
Really delicious authentic Afghan food. The fresh bread is delicious and the servings are huge. A banquet for two could comfortably feed 3-4 people. All for only 25 a head. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely some of the most delectable food I’ve ever eaten. Its outstandingly delicious I could go on and on, vegetarians welcome to heaven. Sure, the look of the place is simple and it could also definitely do with some music to help the ambience but who cares when the food is just so damn good. Thank you for your beautiful dishes.
