This place is awesome. Delicious American style burgers and best loaded fries Ive ever had! The prices are reasonable and burgers are filling. Highly recommend it.

Neat but cramped southern style setting, but the setup of the tables allowed for the illusion of spaciousness. Presents with a feeling of unfinished renovations. Communal seasonings available all clearly supermarket brands purchased and bundled on a wooden cask feature. Best described as a take away burger outlet masquerading as a dine in smokehouse. Keep in mind nothing on the menu is actually smoked.

Kitchen and staff all easily visible from seating areas – staff lacked professionalism in their work attire. Dine in customers have to collect their trays despite the fact the counter is no more than 5 meters away for dining in – staff carry trays a metre or two before dumping the tray and returning to the kitchen.

    Ordered:

Crispy chicken loaded fries – $7 – undercooked chips, unsalted, plain chicken, chipotle/aioli sauce gave some flavour.
The Howdy Cheeseburger – $10.50 – Presents and tastes much like a cheeseburger from Maccas without the comforts and the price, and also included one plastic piece of lettuce for the sake of it. Fully equipped with lethargic burger patties that are dissapointingly small compared to the buns.
The Gun Smoke – $13.00 – Almost indistinguishable from the cheeseburger although the beetroot mayo provided it a sweeter flavour. Ajvar sauce an element seemingly only present in writing.

Everything about this meal screams throwaway and seems to consist entirely of food from the supermarket shelf – like a burger you could make at home minus non-disposable cutlery. A takeaway option at best.

Great food and good service. This is just what Dandenong needs. I had the Southern Style chicken burger and it was delicious. My only suggestion is trying improving the quality of your fries. They appear to be the cheaper pre-made frozen fries. Genuine hand cut fries would be much better and fit in better with your theme!

Indian infusion meets American bbq. Does not work at all. Dont let the name fool you this is not America bbq. All of us who tried it agreed it tasted like everything came straight out of the frozen section at Coles. Even the sauces were terrible. The chicken tasted gamey and had no flavour. Very disappointed had so much potential.

Great burgers and wings at very reasonable prices served by friendly people. I recently booked a Christmas lunch for my team here, the staff were very accommodating and everyone enjoyed the food.

We ordered the southern fried chicken burger and paid 15 bucks for it using uber eats! It came as this a chicken schnitzel with mayo in basic bun. We also order the howdy burger paid 14.50 for it. It came overloaded with sauce, over salted patties that where pink in some spots and grey looking in others! Nothing worse when you order based of presentation pictures by the place, and they arrived bot resembling at all!

If your ordering a delivery from Butler Smokehouse don’t expect it within 2 hours.
We ordered at 8pm on a Wednesday night
At 8:30 called and asked how long our order would be, only to be told it was sitting and ready waiting for a driver!!
At 9:20pm the food arrived, 45 minutes after we were told it was ready.
    $40 for 2 burgers and 1 chips, 1hour 20mins
Don’t waste your time or money….
