I was looking for a cake shop who can do a custom cake for my daughter’s birthday. One restriction is it has to be a ribbon cake. I have tried several so called ribbon cakes in Melbourne, most of them come close but not quite what I had in my mind. I came across this shop on Facebook and called the shop and the lady very patiently answered all my questions and asked me to come to the shop to discuss further. They had sample size ribbon cakes and chocolate cakes. I tried a slice of ribbon cake, the texture and the flavour was exactly what I was looking for. It was fresh too. I tried an eclair and that took me back to my childhood where we had eclairs from Perera & Sons in Sri Lanka. Taste was perfect, and the price was cheap as well. There were lots of different cupcakes and sweets on display. Also they have savoury items too. I am sure they all taste great as well. I highly recommend MCN Cakes for their cakes and eclairs and great customer service and for very reasonable prices. I will be back for more. A little gem in the Dandenong Plaza for sure!
