This is a stunning looking place and the wait staff were very enthusiastic, but it went downhill from there. It really did feel like something had gone drasticly wrong the night we dined, as the food was slow to arrive and twice we were given dishes we didn’t order. Half an hour into waiting for my main I was told they had run out and the substitution dish looked and tasted like it had come out of a supermarket freezer cabinet. It became a bit of a Faulty Towers apology-fest by the end and we were just waiting for the next ridiculous issue.
Judging by other reviews here, this wasn’t a one-off, try one of the other places in Daylesford instead, of which there are many. Disappointed.
Waited well over hour and half for our food raised this with staff they were so cranky and unreasonable we decided best we left my partner and I are industry I am a chef she works back of house
Typical when you over ram your dining room w guests as a result breaking quality code of service breakdown simply couldnt cope.
Nice smart looking venue though smart dress code front of house. We were so disappointed
Service was excellent. I was told that they change their menus daily. They serve some exotic foods like deer sometimes. I had the deer dish, was worth a try! They have a piano in the restaurant. Seems they have put a lot of heart and soul in managing this restaurant. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely meal at the Belvedere Social last night. The service was very well pace and the food was extremely thoughtful and tasty, However a little on the small side.
We sat in front of the open fire which made for a lovely setting. Would highly recommend the Belvedere for anyone looking for a nice night out in Daylesford
I can’t say anything about the food as I didn’t eat here. My review is based solely on the espresso martini featured in the pictures below which was nothing short of amazing!
Brilliant atmosphere and great service!!! This is a must do in Daylesford for pre dinner cocktails.

Such a lovely evening. Delicious food, great service and friendly staff. Frost Bite cocktail was my favourite. We did not experience anything close to the negative reviews. We would definitely go back!
A wonderful evening. Pleasant atmosphere. Excellent service and tasty food. The Bomba Alaska was particularly enjoyable. Delightful cocktails.
