Really good food. Highlight is a waiter called Max – cutest guy, I have the biggest crush on him he’s really nice and friendly and makes really good milkshakes! If you’re there, make sure you ask for Max!!!
Typical suburban cafe. Perfect for Canterbury’s older population. Coffee is average. Food is what you expect from a cafe, nothing special but not bad- quiche, focaccias and pies. Service was average.
This is a cute local cafe. The staff are always nice and welcome you when you come in. I am a regular here because of the nice staff. They have a good selection of sandwiches in the cabinet. They will happily make you whatever you want. The coffee is always nice as well. The barista likes to experiment with latte art, as can be seen in the picture. Just a nice friendly, local cafe for cheap good quality food and coffee.
I just had a chai latte and a zucchini slice and salad for lunch – how delish! Slice had walnuts in it and a divine chutney. Chai was fine. Downside – staff too busy chatting loudly with each other about how quiet it was, how dirty the shop was etc etc us they had to confirm my latte order 3 times. Food great, but please consider your customers and respect their quiet time to eat.

Lovely service!. I’m a regular at Il Delicato; I have been coming for over a year, and I only just thought to write a review! I highly recommend the ‘chicken pesto baguette’, it’s fabulous.
I always get chatting to my favourite waitress- the tall, beautiful blonde girl. She’s faaaaaantastic. Always up for a laugh, even when they’re busy. I would not be coming here if it wasn’t for her.
The manager leaves a lot to be desired. She rarely interacts with the customers, and I hate to be rude, but I can see why! Her manner is most odd.
Anyway- to sum up:
food= 8.5/10
waitress= 10/10.
