Aangan Indian Restaurant Derrimut / Deer Park is the first Indian Restaurant of its kind in Melbourne. With a mixture of modern and traditional regional Indian food, culture and experiences for customers, all set in a relaxed family atmosphere. The restaurant contains a blend of traditional meets modern Indian decor and is divided into two separate sections; a main dining area and a functions room. In the main dining room, customers can order from the al la carte menu, which includes meals from both the North and South of India and fusion food, or on weekends, customers can eat from an All you can eat buffet. Aangans award winning dishes are prepared by highly trained Indian chefs and served on traditional Indian clay plates. The extensive menu will cater for Vegans, Vegetarians and Gluten Free. There is also a mezzanine and lounge in the dining room, where private and business meetings can take place. In the Functions Room, customers will be able to have a drink at the bar, dance the night away on the restaurants dance floor or host up to 140 guests for a sit down meal. This room will also include an Interactive Live Kitchen for entertainment and will play host to various other traditional and non-traditional events including regular Bollywood Nights! Dum Pukht (the very traditional and old method of slow oven cooking used by Moghul Kings) will be practiced and keep your eyes peeled for the 18th-century temple door and pillars, sourced from Varanasi, the Holy City of India!
