Blended Beard is a fair way down Bourke Street in Docklands and while it is located in its own side building it doubles as the foyer coffee bar for 818 Bourke Street. I stopped in for a quick lunch and coffee today and was presented with a cool laid
back venue with plenty of wood grains happening and great retroesk music. Seating spilled into the foyer area and I sat on comfy stools on the giant share table. It was a cold day so opted for one of their Ka Pies. These pies won a fair few awards by the look of it and steak and cheese is always a favourite of mine. It didnt disappointed and had plenty of melty cheese inside but the taste it could have used a little more warming (not a biggy). They had a selection of coffee blends and I chose Shadow Boxer guest blend to pick me up for the afternoon. Nice smooth blend and nicely extracted. Certainly glad I called in.
