Very good for a brunch place. Lazy Sunday meals by the dock.
Great venue, views, vibe, service and food. Had the wagyu burger and it was one of the best i have had in a while cheesy juicy charry and smokey all at once. 4.5 *s if i could.
Great atmosphere, beautiful water views, decent service but unfortunately the dishes consumed tonight was lacking. We had the pulled pork burger which came served with soggy fries, bland polenta chips and an ok pasta. I really wanted to like this place as it’s so close to home but I guess I can come back for drinks by the water.
Very pleasant. Beautiful location on the water with outdoor and indoor settings. Stone fired pizzas, good solid western food and friendly attentive service. Reasonably priced. Thoroughly enjoyed eating here. Great for couples or larger groups.
Simple food, cool atmosphere and good customer service. Everything is reasonably priced, particularly for the area. Wouldnt return here purely for the food, but great for an easy meal before a night out.
Cargo is a casual dining restaurant located on the water at New Quay, Docklands. Cargo has plenty of seating outside as well as a beautiful setup inside featuring floor to ceiling windows with perfect views of the water & surrounding areas. We were thrilled to visit on a sunny, warm, spring day, the views were stunning.
The menu is extensive so we had trouble choosing. Our lovely waitress Laura helped with suggestions & we ordered a few dishes to share.
The calamari with watermelon, cucumber & aioli was a delicious starter. The calamari was very tender & the crumb was light & crunchy. The watermelon & cucumber were nice accompaniments too.
The Saganaki arrived at the table on a sizzling pan, with red grapes & balsamic. It was charred, salty & oozy and we ate this in record time.
We also tried the Seafood Paella which seemed appropriate given the amazing water views. It was a visually beautiful dish, packed with plenty of seafood including mussels, prawns & fish pieces, it tasted even better than it looked.
We finished with coffees & dessert. The deconstructed cheesecake with honey joy crumbs, passionfruit & fresh fruit was a delicious creamy cheesecake & lovely fresh dessert. The choc chip waffles were served with with tim tam crumble, chocolate caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream & fairy floss. The waffles were light & we loved the presentation of this dish.
We thoroughly enjoyed our long lunch at Cargo, the food was impressive, stunning views & fantastic service. Thanks so much for having us.
Love Cargo, always come here for a quick dinner if Im in the area. we had a birthday dinner here the other day and it was lovely.
Ordered the arancini and Saganaki for entree they were both really nice! My main seafood Paella wasn’t the best but everyone else seemed enjoyed their food. I tried a bit of the fish and chips and the grilled chicken they were both nice!
Ordered everything on the dessert menu to share and they were all very good. Service was very friendly with banters!
