Gold Leaf has always been one of my favourite yumcha places to go to. They serve a variety of authentic dishes. What I love most about it is that they dont try to modernise things, its just basic yumcha food done really well. I love all their dumplings! Ive been to most of them and its quite consistent.

My friend visiting from overseas wanted to yumcha so I picked Gold Leaf at the The District, Docklands due to the location as were planning to go for the Dialogue in the Dark which is in the same building after yumcha. This is my first visit to this branch but Ive been to the Preston, Sunshine and Springvale branch many times and theyre always good! I was told when I called to make booking that there is no fixed yumcha seating on week days but there are fixed sessions on the weekend. So I booked for 1 pm for 4 people on Wednesday. We arrived 10 min early and didnt have to wait long for our table. The restaurant looked a lot more new and has a modern interior compared to the other Gold Leaf branch but smaller in seating capacity. Although there are a few food trolleys, it took a while for the steam dumplings trolley to come to our table so in the end we placed an order and it was served immediately. There wasnt enough variety of dim sum to choose from the food trolley maybe because it was week day but we are happy with our food.

Came here with family for a hot pot all you can eat session. For those who haven’t had a hot pot experience before, it’s basically a hot pot full of boiling soup and you choose your favorite meat and vegetables to cook in it. I always choose the Tom yum soup base as I love the soury taste and a slight spicy. Once the meat is cooked, dip it in sesame or peanut sauce and it will taste awesome.

Nice place for a weekend yumcha session.. If you are hungry this is the place to come as the food trolleys keep coming past with little plates of food.. Options are very varied..
Not all their food is tasty though there are some that are just too bland or too salty but given the options it wasnt too bad.. Price was it wasnt the cheapest for a yumcha session..

The best Yum cha restaurant in melbourne CBD which located in Docklands shopping center. Finding a park spot is easier in here and the restaurant is bigger than the others in Chinatown, which is fell comfortable and cooler than the others as well. Strongly introduced the Salted egg Yolk Custard Bun, which is all fresh and not too salty or too sweet. the beef entrails is full of the bowl and cooked enough time. Mango sago soup is sweet and chicken feet is amazing.

A nice place for chinese yum cha and the selection is very good. It can get pretty crowded however and the staff are not the friendliest as they always seem to be in a rush.
