When I order combination fried noodle I expect combination fried noodle (compare Google images of the typical vs what I received).

    Ordered:
    Combination fried noodle ($13.80)

    Review:
Imagine my surprise when I was expecting to shatter my fried egg noodles with my fork – instead receiving noodles and none of that signature sauce. Instead, it felt more like a stir fry dish which was decent. Chicken and beef was a little chewy and dry but overall an edible dish.

I’m no expert in vegetarian dumplings, but it was also decent. Nothing that I’d be raving about, but Honey Tang is not a bad place to go to for a work lunch with it being so conveniently located to a tram stop in docklands.

I liked the clean interior and the brightly themed restaurant – it’s a shame that the food didn’t quite match up with the stunning interior.

Dirty and sticky as cutlery, gross. Not happy with the service. Paid first and then waiting more than 30 mins to get 10 small dumplings?? Then they apologise by giving a 15% card for next time… will not be returning.

Lucky to be invited to check out the latest dumpling join in the new business district of melbourne. As the offices move towards docklands its great to see more restaurants !

We came here for dinner (yes you can work late and still have dumplings here).

    What we had:

Pan fried pork dumplings: juicy and tasty and not too oil which was great. Would loved it if it was a bit crunchier on the bottom though.

Xiao Long Bao (soup dumpling): perfectly thin skin with a tasty soup filling. Watch out for the soup!

Chilli wontons: I dont usually order this but they were super tasty! The chilli was spicy but flavoursome so dont forget to dip it in!

Pork fried noodles: Loved that the noodles were not too oily and had good flavour but was slightly let down by the use of bacon and not actually pork.

A good dumpling option in the area if you have a dumplings craving. The order and pay at the counter system can be a bit inconvenient if you come in a large group, for the couple of occasions that we did, we had to compose our list of orders and nominate a person to go up to order and pay.

That aside, the service was fast and food is fresh. I would recommend the xlb and wonton in chilli sauce as they are well seasoned and tasty. The other dishes was nice but didn’t stand out compared to other places. The fried noodles was our least favourite as it was oily and the fusion with bacon was unusual in taste and concept.
