I like In a Rush for the soup they serve on these cooler days. The Portuguese chicken would be my favourite which Is why I have had at least a couple of times when I head in this direction on my lunchtime walks. I have tried their pasta also which is just ok. Nothing particularly special but good enough for a short work day lunch. They also do preprepared baguettes.
friendly service and well set out cafe. soy chai latte is made consistent, smoothe and is just the right temperature with the choice of vanilla or spiced chai. egg and bacon are relatively cheap and sandwich pressed to warm up.
Great coffee ritually go in each morning to get my fix..
Awesome atmosphere and banter with staff, treated as a person and not a customer/number.
A last resort lunch spot, food looks appetising but the salads aren’t good. Had a mixed salad with chicken avocado, caesar and roasted veg risoni. The salads were so deeply drowned in dressing that the lettuce was beyond soggy. Not freshness whatsoever and quite unpleasant to eat. I’ve had the chicken pesto pasta in the past which was good but today has really put me off. Also slow service as they have a ticketing system where one person takes your order and you have to wait for someone else to make it, cashier is yelling out salad order up but no one seems to respond in a rush.
I love this cafe such a vibrant place, great atmosphere and always welcomed through open arms by the staff. Coffee and food are amazing in taste and value. No other cafe in the strip has compared to what I get an in a rush. Keep doing what your doing guys and I’ll keep on coming back!
Avoid – Managers yell at staff in front of customers, and are very rude and unwelcoming. This therefore is reflected on the customers. Food is average and cheap, coffee is below average. I ordered a coffee and it was incorrect so I took it back and politely asked if I could get the coffee I had ordered. The response from the barista was an annoying glare and then a huff and puff asking what I had because she couldn’t remember. She made me feel as if I were being rude, even though I was just trying to get the coffee I ordered and paid for. (There were only about 7 people in the cafe at the time as it was an early Sunday morning).
Nothing amazing, just a standard spot to grab a bit when you’re short on time. Staff are really friendly and polite, but just nothing that amazes me unfortunately.
