Twosheds ventured deep into Docklands today on business and found Indi Hots. Having craved some good Indian food for a while, it was a pleasant surprise. I chose to eat in, but it seems most trade here may be take away. While the ambience was clinical, and a bit like eating in a barn, the food was good. Served from Bain Maries, the curries are authentic and well cooked. I had the chicken biryani with butter chicken curry. Both were perfectly spiced, to the extent that beautiful cardamom pods, whole pieces of cinnamon and cloves were scattered within. Digging deep into my biryani, I was pleasantly surprised to find a lovely whole chicken thigh. The chicken dishes came with two vegetable curries as sides. They were a little on the blander side, but nevertheless acceptable. As you can see from the pictures, the servings are large and good value, in my view, for $11.90. The staff are lovely and attentive. I have tried the other outlet up in the CBD a while ago. It was good too. If you see either, give one of them a try.
