The tofu slaw was really fresh and flavorful. Tofu was super crispy and had some nice seasoning, not just plain fried tofu.
Tried the fried chicken banh mi and whilst it wasn’t the traditional banh mi with pate etc but it was really good and the crispy chicken was very crunchy and big. It was lacking some greens in the roll though.
We got to try the fried chicken Bahn mi as part of a district 8 event we were invited to. I found the bread to protein ratio off here and it lacked that delicious pate you generally encounter with a really good Bahn mi. Little bit disappointing
Really enjoyed the food here after visiting the Melbourne star. We tried the prawn spring rolls which was amazing. Followed by the Banh Mi, bbq pork rice paper roll and rice with grilled pork. All the dishes were very flavourful and delicious but a big shout out to the spring rolls.
Been to this delicious Vietnamese outlet in the Asia 8 Street group (underneath Hoyts) at The District several times now. Each time I’ve had exceptionally fresh, delicious and fast meals. The staff are great. Always helpful and friendly. The menu is pretty much what you’d expect but the combos change and are unbeatable value. Today it’s $14 for a Bahn Mi, rice paper roll and ice tea or $17 for a bowl of Pho, spring rolls and ice tea. I settled for a salad (with extra chilli) and was not disappointed! Do yourself a favour when next you feel like Vietnamese and you are in the area. It’s seriously worth checking out!
