I pre-ordered a piece of vegan cake to takeaway. The shop turned out be in the super nice, recently renovated Collins Square dining precinct. The cake was rich and moist and perfectly sweet. Who would’ve thought a pie shop would have such nice vegan sweet options? I’ve yet to try any savoury items, but now I’m really keen to.
Great pie, terrible customer service. Ordered a sausage roll, side and drink combo advertised on the board as $11.50 was told (repeatedly) that it cost $13. Staff went to speak to what I can only understand was the manager and she came back and said “for you it’s $13 – when I put it into the system it’s $13”. Was in a rush and hungry so Gave up and ordered a pie – which was bloody tasty. Won’t be back.
Great place for a quick bite or lunch if you are located in Docklands. Despite having the name Pure Pie they also serve an amazing smashed avocado on sourdough toast, topped with feta and a lemon wedge. Absolutely delicious. Pies, sausage rolls and the pumpkin salad are also all mouthwatering dishes.
A macchiato is not an espresso. They don’t seem to know the difference. There’s a few basic coffees and they don’t seem to be across them all. Average at best.
