Tataki is generic noodle place with water views just behind the old NAB bank building in Docklands. To be honest the food here can be a little hit and miss with some noodle and rice dishes quite oily. What this place does have going for it is evidenced on sunny days. Most of the dining space is outside with pleasant views across to boats to the other side of Docklands. It is a great escape from the confines of the office. I do like the Cha Kwai Teow here, those wide/flat noodles are very tasty. I’ve also recommend the grilled chicken bun which comes with a fish sauce to pour over chicken, rice noodles and salad. This is a much fresher fragrant option for the warmer months. Your food will be brought out to you once you’ve ordered and paid inside but you need to help yourself to cutlery and chopsticks before you grab a seat. Grab your sunnies and enjoy those winter rays.
Their Cha Kwai Teow is the one I always ordered when I needed a fried rice noodle fix. Definitely hit the spot every single time. However, the rice dishes in this place are not that appealing, the meat was dried and came with no greens, only a few slices of pickle carrots.
A local lunch spot visited every now and again with usually the same thing ordered every time being Pad Thai. Tataki fills the stomach and leaves you content enough in order to get back to work. Food here is usually fast and price for what you get is reasonable and affordable.
It’s gets pretty busy during lunch hours so best to get in early before the rush or have a late one. Overall it’s not a bad eat. Till next time, this is Our Foodie Find today!
Everything looks delicious in this place. We had seafood noodles and they were amazing!
We will definitely we will come back!
All plates around 10 dolars
I don’t understand why you have a minimum spend of $14 for eftpos/credit card transactions. Considering your items on the menu are around $10 I see this as you trying to increase your sales and force us to purchase a drink or extra items. PLEASE EXPLAIN! There is plenty of other options for food around here I will be going elsewhere. This is not how you treat your customers and I ask for others around to not go to this restaurant as it only encourages other cafes/restaurants to follow suit. DROP YOUR MINIMUM SPEND.
Not good enough, respect your customer don’t try and rip them off.
Egg was fired to the point of being like rubber and the food swam with cheap oil. Only finished half and walked away hoping to forget this experience. It sits along a strip of eateries and I suggest you keep walking. Don’t waste your money.
