The food here is quite good, I had the beef cheek and some oysters which were all delicious. Nice place to eat before the footy or a concert at Etihad. Unfortunately the service here is what let us down, the waitress barely had a smile throughout our sitting. A wine was under poured and we were told it was the 125ml standard, my friends in company being the cynics measured and it was 100ml. Again we were told it was because it was a big glass, were regular wine drinkers… When we finished we asked for the bill but after waiting sometime had to go up and get it. If you dont mind service, then the food and views are actually quite good.
+ Delicious food, water views on one side of restaurant, great for functions, great lunch deals during week.
    – Service, location unless travelling to docklands/G/Harbour Town a bit far from city centre.

About 30 of us had our EOY party here this year. The atmosphere was awesome. It was clean and staff were very friendly. While there were some hiccups getting off the ground the staff did an awesome job organising payments and such. Thats kind of where the positive points end though. Our booking was for 7pm but I didnt get any food till 8:40. We had the 50/50 choices. I had the pork belly which was burnt. I had the steak as a main which was the undercooked and bland despite specifically asking for no pink meat. As for dessert… I asked for my dessert as the rest of the group had been given theirs and was told Id have to go looking around the other table as all the desserts had been dispensed for the group WTF. Seriously !?! 30 minutes later I was given a dessert that had been grabbed from another parties table when they left. Bloody disgusting if you ask me. At $65 a head and $14 for a beer I cant say Ill ever go back. Theres plenty of positive with atmosphere and location and a generally cool vibe but all those things are available at other places nearby. Id say give this place a miss and spend your money somewhere else

We were having a double date night recently and looked to the old entertainment book to suggest a venue. We definitely found the value at Woolshed and I finally satisfied the steak sandwich craving that has been plaguing me for weeks.

They also do delicious cocktail jugs the Pimms being a classic but I’d also recommend the Strawberry one . They used to have an amazing shredded beef BBQ brisket but sadly that seems to have gotten the chop from the revamped menu. Also worth noting at this point they haven’t updated their online menu so don’t get your heart set on something that’s no longer available #bringbackthebrisket.

I’m so glad the Woolshed rose from the ashes and rebuilt themselves better than ever. This is a great space to watch the footy and has plenty of atmosphere on grand final day. I’ve devoured the steak sandwich on more than one occasion and they do this sort of traditional pub food extremely well.

Lovely ambiance overlooking the water in the daytime and equally atmospheric at night with live music playing. It appears as though they have taking this opportunity to relaunch with some more premium dining options while still catering for more casual patrons so there’s something to please everyone. One of the better spots in Docklands

The only time I visit the Woolshed seems to be for farewell drinks and meals. Today was no different as I was invited along by my old workplace to farewell a mate I had worked with for over 17 years.

We sat in the covered over deck area with wonderful views over the Docklands waterfront and started with drinks. They had a good range of beers on tap and I chose Little Creatures.

For mains it seems more than half the table chose the most expensive steak … typical when work is covering the cost. I went for the slow cooked beef cheeks which I highly rated except for the pesto on top which was too much and I ended scraping to the side. The more health conscious seemed to like the chicken salad with a 65 degree egg centre on the plate and a few had the fresh pasta dish cooked quite al dente (too much so for some).

For dessert many like me went for chocolate brownie with meringue and ice cream while a few tried the seasonal mini Christmas pudding which was exceptionally rich so needed to be shared.

Despite being tucked away in the far corner service was very good and the waiting staff member did a great job keeping everyone happy.
