Its back….but disappointing.
Picked up the menu one day. Then given the dearth of fish ‘n’ chips places I did a price comparison and thought I would give this place a go. All the prices for the fish were 30c higher than the printed paper. The packs were $1-2 more.
Was the cook sweating bricks? Or just heavy handed with the salt? Whilst the batter was acceptable, there’s bigger and nicer fish just up the road.
The New owners have maintained the excellent quality. We just had perfectly cooked fish, and scallops, together with potato cakes and dim sims. Perfect! They were very polite with their service.
The best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. I won’t go anywhere else now. Crisp flake and potato cakes, nice chips. No oily aftertaste. Great !!!!
These guys have the Best Fish and chips in the area, always crispy chips and fish is a good size. Have tried all the others and this is our go to. Even got friends in Blackburn who drive just to get there fish and chips from here.
Can here a while age and found that it has decent fish and chips that are cooked in clean oil that doesn’t leave a gross aftertaste. Generous portions and average wait times.
