They have recently changed from Hong Kong style cafe to charcoal BBQ skewers and Malatang. We tried the clear soup malatang, soup was rich, full of favor and with only minimal MSG. Love their charcoal skewers, but there is only limited options, hope they will add more varieties to their menu.
Happy diners has always been that quick grab for a meal. Before it was a Hongkong style restaurant where food was cheap and average. Tried their hot pot today, soup base was actually not bad, unlike some box hill hot pot restaurants where tons of MSG was thrown in. Will be back for more hot pot and try their Chinese BBQ skewers too!
Recently revamped their menu to hot pot menu. Thought I would give it a try while in the area. As the hot pot style was a trending style within this year. Pricing was affordable. Food quality was clean n fresh. As you can pick the ingredients yourself and get charged by Weight.
I cant handle spicy very well so decided to try the normal one. This place impressed me. As it is hard to go wrong with this hot pot style. The owner was kind enough to offer us a free drink because it was their first day after revamped their menu.
Will come back again if I am in the area next time.
Came here once before and it was a good a experience, so give it another try. The food was fantastic and service is prompt and attentive. All in all good little place to visit in doncaster east
