Ordered a burger with the lot in my way home tonight .. I called the order through and they said it would be ready in 10 min … I walked in to the shop 9 min after I called and it was ready .. shop is hidden away off the main road (doncaster road) and parking can be tricky at peak times …the shop looks clean and two staff behind the counter were friendly enough …. burger was probably one of the best I’ve had in years … it wasn’t dry or sloppy..and everything was cooked perfectly … I’ll be back to try other items on their menu ..
Came here and ordered a lamb souv only because the charcoal chicken shop was closed around the corner. Also wanted some chips to go with my souv but they ended up giving me a very large serve of chips and charged me for it. I only needed a side and I hate wasting food. Lamb was tough and flavour was pathetic. Will not go back.
I eat fish and chips only twice a year, so I want it to be good. JJs never disappoints. The whiting and blue grenadier has a beautifully sweet flavour, and the batter is perfectly crunchy. Chips are great – must be the quality of the oil. Potato cakes are also awesome, and they always throw in an extra. The staff/owners are super polite. Love being able to support a local small business.
