Lovely low-key corner restaurant in Doncaster East. Lovely service. I ordered the hakata chirashi set and Josh ordered a soft shell burger lunch special with croquettes. Everything was absolutely delicious and the servings sizes were generous.
Miku’s Hakata Chirashi Set is an all-time favourite for me. As an avid lover of sushi and Japanese food, Miku is the perfect spot for a reasonably-priced meal that always leaves you walking out very full. Located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, this place is an absolute hidden gem. On this occasion, we ordered the aforementioned hakata chirashi set, the unagi don and tempura don (I think?) off the lunch menu. Each lunch meal comes with very tasty appetisers consisting of a small salad and egg dish. Tempura were crispy and fried to perfection, and the teriyaki sauce blended in well with the unagi and rice. I really love the concept of the sushi and dessert bars – however they are quite cramped and often full by rush hour. Food was served in a reasonable amount of time – could have been faster despite a tiny kitchen, but they kept us satisfied with refreshments and appetisers. Being a very cramped restaurant, it is often hard to find a table – especially considering some seats are either next to the door (cold!) or below a heater.
Overall, still love this restaurant – would recommend trying its sushi burgers and desserts (which I have sampled on previous visits)
Still one of my favourite sushi places in Melbourne. The sushi is not only super fresh, delicious but they are also so generous with the fillings and toppings. I wish I got another sushi instead of the sushi burger as the burger was a bit plain. Whilst Dragon roll is pricey it is a must try
I love this place! A favourite place to dine when in the Doncaster area. The food here is amazing and service is always great. I love their sushi burgers and their dragon and soft shell crab sushi rolls! Delicious and will be back for sure!
Nice little Japanese restaurant in Doncaster East.
We enjoyed Oyako Don and Unagi Don for lunch. Both were tasty and good quality. Prices are perhaps a bit high.
We bought takeaway mochi balls – strawberry and green tea – and they were fantastic, perhaps the highlight. The service was friendly and helpful.
Ok food. Owned by Chinese and dishes are really just average. Service was not exceptional. Nothing really stood out… not sure what else to say
