This tiny little Japanese restaurant in Jackson Court, Doncaster has been around for many years and continues to dish up fairly authentic Japanese food. We visited on a weekend. The interior was pretty tiny (so booking ahead for larger numbers is a good tip!). We ordered a range of bento boxes and side dishes. Everything looked attractive but serving sizes were on the smaller side. It was also quite pricey. Some highlights included the miso eggplant (which was a real pleasure to eat) and the fresh sashimi. The teriyaki sauce accompanying the bento boxes was delicious. It was slightly smokey and full of umami goodness! Service was polite. Their desserts were pretty awesome too especially the strawberry mochi which was far superior when compared to the ones we had in Tokyo recently. Previously:Great service, fresh ingredients and lovely tastes. It’s always a pleasure to eat here. The restaurant is tiny though so do consider booking a table before rocking up. The strawberry mochi is to die for. Even better than the ones you get overseas!

Great hidden gem in Jacksons ct. Run by true Japanese so the food is very authentic and tasty. They have fresh sashimi and really yummy rolls!
The chicken katsu at Mogu Mogu is one of my favourites! This is as close as to the authentic kind that you can get! It’s a small and quaint restaurant but in terms of quality and price point, you can’t go wrong. Explore with me? Follow me on IG:@abbeyexplores
