Its so good having a local brunch cafe around the corner to where you live. Three Monkey Place caught my attention from all those delicious colourful dishes posted online. Everything looked soo good and delicious! I could wait to try it out.
We came here on a Friday afternoon and its located in a pretty good area with a lot of free parking.
The menu is quite unique with a lot of Malaysian inspired fusion flavours. We ordered the salmon and potato rosti and quinoa and sweet potato short ribs. The tuna and potato rosti was pretty average. It was quite bland and a bit sickening. The egg was poached really well and I loved the tuna rose! The sweet potato and short ribs were nice! It had a nice, sticky flavoursome sauce.
Overall, I would return to try out more of their dishes especially the sweeter ones!
Ive never been to Thailand or Bali but Ive heard stories about the monkeys there and that they are known for stealing some of your belongings. When I go on holidays thats the last thing I want to happen. So when my friends said lets go to three monkeys place I was a bit hesitant and held my phone wallet and keys very tight. In the end I was able to relax and not worry about theft. Was a good time and I will go back sometime.
Interesting place I came across today. Ordered the smashed avo which was good but i think the avacado needed more smashing and maybe mix with feta instead of on the side. Hermit fish was good and fries were even better
Friendly and polite service. Nice ambience. Easy to find parking. Had the salmon rosti with almond chai. Yummy. Will be back again! Will recommend.

Having visited this cafe a number of times over the years I was looking forward to trying something new this visit. We ordered the eggs benedict with salmon and the sweet monkey fried roti pancake along with a coffee and taro latte to drink.
Everything we ordered came out beautifully presented, I loved the use of flowers as a finishing touch on each dish. The Sweet Monkey is perfect for a sweet tooth or to share as a dessert, the crunchiness of the deep fried roti worked well with the fresh fruit and mascarpone. I loved the creative take on the traditional pancake.
My sister had the Benedict. Normally the Benedict comes with ham hock however she opted to go with the salmon instead. The salmon was beautifully cured and nicely complimented the hollandaise and poached eggs.
Overall I had a lovely experience at Three Monkeys Place and rate it out of 5.
What a terrible coffee! You must be kidding me!!!! I can make better coffee than this!!! And there isnt busy at all!
My 2nd time here, There will be no 3rd! Dont know how they can survive!
Nice cafe, abit cramped if seated in back section, nice food, great location in need of a cafe here, nice for a catch up lunch with friends , will return
