Saturday (Black Friday sales) sales continued and the cafe is busy, but Im sorry when staff clear a table after customers have left, please clean the food crumbs always!!
Sadly today the food wasnt as good as it has been in the past. Poached eggs on toast were borderline solid, however the coffee was good.

The cafe been renovated and staff and manager very pleasant as usual
Saw regulars there and impressed with new set up

Still Very good light healthy brunch with feta goat cheese, generous avocado mash,2 fried eggs and multi grain sour dough bread made by not only lovely, but friendly always smiling manager Marjory.
Worth visiting while shopping at Westfield

Management are very rude. Avoid. Do not go. The place next door is much better. Unfortunate since the staff are nice, but it’s been bought out by someone with more money than business sense.

DO: The coffees obviously, but the grab and go sandwich items are also equally as good as they’re made fresh on site daily.

DON’T: Confuse the two coffee operators downstairs at Shoppo. One is Coffee Hit and this is Dark Rye. Both of which back onto one another.

TIP: Grab a table first and pour yourself a few glasses of water and get yourself seated before ordering.

I have been going to dark rye for the last few months i can say that the staff were amazing. They all were happy and extremely polite. The atmosphere was very good due to the staff that was on. The 2 batistas that were on were fantastic a young guy and a mature female the coffee was amazing considering how busy they were. I am quite disheartened to find out new management has taken over and have made 10 out of the 11 staff have resigned. Its quite upsetting that new management hasn’t tried to keep them especially when its the staff that makes a cafe run properly no matter what. Will not be going back due to the attitude of new management.

I went here today with my family when we went shopping. Dad had a cappuccino which he said was really good. Mum and My sister had lemonade and cola. I got a lemongrass and ginger tea which was good however the cup and spoon were really dirty hence the lower score. The cafe is in the middle of a busy part of the shopping centre which makes it hard to relax. I wouldn’t come back here which is a pity because the staff were really nice and we really enjoyed the orange cakes we shared.
