Fish pier is a great place for fish and chips. We usually order the jumbo fisherman’s platter. Surprisingly the amount of seafood served has dwindled quite considerably over the years (from 2 large pieces of fish to 2 fish bites). They now bulk up the dish with extra chips and salad. Having said that though, what they serve is usually quite tasty, crispy and satisfying. The best thing about this place is the access to unlimited sauces! From sweet chilli sauce to tartare sauce, it’s all there for you to enjoy!
First time eating at Fish Pier. Ordered the fish pier pasta in aglio olio and the grilled calamari. Yes the food looks tasty from the photo but it’s deceiving.
My pasta was bland and there were salmon bones in the pasta and salmon. The bones were 2-4cm long. It’s shocking really. If you are ordering this for your kids, please be careful about the bones. The prawns are frozen ones and are tasteless, so is the calamari. There were only two tiny overcooked mussels although the photo in the menu seem to show scallops too.
The calamari was tasteless, but chip were good. For a store that sells seafood, one would think that fresh seafood would be used instead of frozen ones.
I think they should just stick with selling fresh seafood instead.
