It was meat night tonight so we ordered a trio of roasted meats from this ever green restaurant nestled in the middle of a row of great eats.
The roast duck was fresh, meaty and crispy. Loved the accompanying savoury sauce! The char siu was moist and well seasoned. And finally, that lovely peppery sausage rounded out our perfect triad.
Service was surprisingly friendly and accommodating….we used to be greeted by scowls so I suspect there’s been a recent changing of the guard.
This place is aptly named as they serve food fit for a king!
No dinner crowd, easy parking, good food (literally everything we ordered was good), and speedy, attentive service. Plus the kids ate everything. I’d say it checks all the boxes. Don’t forget to try the roast pork – that’s really good. Love the beef brisket – that was brilliantly done, meltingly tender. The red bean dessert was a simple affair, but very well executed. Smooth, flavoursome without being overly sweet.
Will have to call in and order the lobster noodles next time.
