Ordered 2 hand rolls. Server was nice enough. Received one wrong hand roll, continued to take it back and ask for the right one. The lady says ‘ok’ then continues to take wrong hand roll I was given and had my hands all over, and put it back into the available hand rolls to buy. Never coming back.
Great little place for fresh sushi at reasonable prices. Their al la carte sushi was $2 each and it was deliciously fresh. I also had their Japanese veggie pancake which was also delicious – ask for mayo and sauce as it comes with it but can also go without. I also got my usual unagi sushi and this was nice. Overall great little place for lunch or simply just because you feel like sushi – great value food done well. $7 for lunch – I will be back.
The sushi was surprisingly good. It was located just outside Myer in Westfield Doncaster.
Sushi in deluxe section was $2 each. I tried all of them and all tasted fresh. The rich was not too hard nor soft, and the seasonings was well balanced.
I will come back for a quick snack for sure.
I have visited this sushi bar at Westfield Doncaster countless times and it only gets better. My go-to order is often the raw sushi pack (pictured) – 8 pieces, fresh salmon and rice. It is everything you want in sushi, fresh, full of flavour, leaving you extremely satisfied.
I have also tried the standard sushi rolls too, ie fresh salmon, teriyaki chicken, crispy chicken, etc and all variations too are divine.
Again another shopping centre sushi place turning out very acceptable sushi. Not earth shattering but not bad. Its now such a common staple offering do you have to do it right. Unless your shopping down this end youll probably miss this place. And becuase its not at the food court it doesnt have as much turnover.
So if your after hot food it may have been sitting there a while. In saying that our pancake and spring rolls were perfectly fine. Spring rolls had a good hit of 5spice and the pancake was really good.
The california rolls were ok. Standard fare. But the grilled teriyaki salmon was great. Nice glaze just the right amount of sauce and most importantly the salmon was just cooked, not overcooked. Very mourish.
My favorite local sushi joint – I love their brown rice vegan options and the kids love them too. Never long to wait, we always take some to go when shopping.
they have quite varieties of food from raw and cooked meals. they taste quite decent as well. I prefer to eat the raw food early in the morning or lunch ime while they are still fresh
