Welcome to the Fish Nazis. It’s been a long while, in fact perhaps the first time ever, that I’ve experienced such bad service. Don’t dare ask where to order without reading the sign first. And don’t dare to ask a question about the menu. And finally, don’t dare take more than a second to produce your ticket when you pick up your order. Clearly this old couple have been doing this for a few years past their happy period.

Great little quirky store. Fresh flake and crunchy chips. Reasonably priced and well portioned. All cooked fresh to order. Will return when next in town.

Best fish and chips on peninsula. When reading the negative reviews it makes me think that they do not say the whole story. I can only imagine that they were smart-arses themselves, and these hard working people did not have to serve customers who are ungrateful. So bad luck to them who got their patronage handed back to them, because they missed out on the best fish and chips on the peninsula!

The staff is very rude, particularly the woman I politely asked if she was going to supply lemon for the scallops. She essentially told me to shut up and wait. However the grilled fish was the best I’ve ever had. I chose the Rockling which was thick, fresh and beautifully cooked. The chips and burgers were great too. There were 15 of us with 4 separate orders and everyone raved about the quality. Pity about the service.

The staff speak barely any English & are ridiculously rude! This in conjunction with their high prices and average food means we will not be back!

BEST FISH & CHIPS. Live locally, alway great service at the Sharks Inn, food is great, cooking oil always clean, you need a sense of Humour to go their as the staff are always freindly & sometime cheeky!!
They also have a phone booking service so no need to que, TOP FISH & CHIPS ON THE PENINSULA.

Great food, great people!!!. We were holidaying down on the Mornington Peninsula and it was a hot stinking night and we really felt like fish n chips on the beach. We found Sharks Inn and went in for a feed. The place was absolutely packed so we knew we were on to a good thing and it’s literally across the road from the beach – even better. Staff were friendly and extremely accommodating, even with the mad rush of rude and somewhat nasty customers demanding their food in minutes (when they could clearly see that the shop was packed). I think I had the best piece of flake I have ever eaten from here and the chips and oil tasted very clean. Will definitely be going back there again next time I’m down on the Peninsula. Keep up the great work Sharks Inn and thanks!!!
