Quite acceptable local cafe. Plenty of tables and outdoor seating if weather permits. Smashed avo was nothing over exciting but GF friendly and tasty enough for the price. Daily omelette and risotto specials.
Pity the decent almond latte and ok eggs benedict were completely ruined by the ‘part owners’ lack of respect or any type of customer sevice towards his patrons. If you dont want to assist with customers or take payment, dont. You acted like a jerk, we wont be back.
Had a nice meal, two coffees were wrong, no problem. Our group took one and asked if we could have the other re-made. Thought this would be better than wasting both. Still no problem.
I went up to the counter to pay and was served by a tall, bald, older man (apparently a part owner ) who was so incredibly rude to me I couldn’t believe it.
I asked if they split bills to which he sighed angrily ‘if I have to’
He then asked me ‘what did you have?’
I told him four things and was told to ‘slow down!’ angrily.
After not being able to find the coffees that were mixed up he said he cannot find them. To which I explained about the staff having mixed up the order and I took one so they didn’t have to waste it as I thought this would be helpful.
The reply I got was ‘well you should have just sent it away!’
I was so shocked by this I started to say ‘if it’s too much you can print the docket out and we can work it out between us’
However I was cut off by him saying angrily ‘NO, IT’S FINE!’
We enjoyed our meal and the staff were great but this guy should not be in the business.
We spent money here but we won’t be back, we might have been but the chance of running into such a rude, obviously unhappy man isn’t worth it.
Have to say I wasn’t expecting too much from this place considering it is located within a shopping centre complex. However for what it is I was pleasantly surprised.
Upon entering the staff were really nice and attentive. There was a reasonably good atmosphere to the place, partly helped by the soft, calm music in the background. Was quite surprised again to find another place in Dromana only using a free spotify account for their music. The music was often hard to hear though due to the overly noisy kitchen.
Coffee was quite reasonable as well without being anything too spectacular. Ordered the smashed avocado with the charred corn and roast pepper salsa and was reasonably disappointed. Although the salsa was quite unique I really didn’t work being served cold. And I guess it’s not really the time of year for having avocado because it certainly lacked a lot of flavour. The size was quite small too considering the cost.
Overall not too bad for what it is but probably not worth wasting your time when their are a few other nice cafes in Dromana.

Yes.. Just what dromana needed! Something a bit different with great food and coffee. That pulled pork roll could be the best on peninsula.. Will be back for sure.
Wow! We just happened to stumble across this little gem…we were all blown away with the quality of food and service…just outstanding…we’ll definitely be back!
