open cafe mainly serves an open buffet format, however you can select the menu and pick and choose what you wish to eat, i chose the sushi and thai curry with steam rice, the Qty is too much and the person who serves you is likely to ask you weather you want more and he would be happy to serve you
for me it was a little too much , but the taste was authentic with fresh rice and chicken , all of it was well melting in the mouth,
sushi is like sushi, so its a well recommended one for lunch during your work hours at CBD
I’ve been eating here for lunch regularly. It is a large, busy city cafe serving standard city cafe fare and coffee. Food is mostly out of a bain marie but high turnover means it does not sit there long. Order from the counter and take food to your table, coffee is brought to you. I generally have chips which are big juicy steak fries and the one coffee I’ve had was okay. Tables are regularly cleaned. Lunch will set you back $10- $20 unless you have sushi in which case you can do a cpuple of handrolls (pictured) for $6. Environment is a bit echoey because all surfaces are hard. All in all its ok.
Quick lunch yesterday, small mixed salad. Fresh and consistently good. Combo was Apple, cabbage slaw, Greek salad and Thai chicken. High turnover, very busy – it’s ok.
It’s fast, it’s big, it’s relatively cheap and it’s busy. Lots of seating and it has tables for plenty of people and toilets. The food is already sitting in the bay Marie’s waiting for you. The coffee is ok. Does the job for the place to go when you’re visiting a local hospital but except for coffee it wouldn’t be the place to go to on regular basis.
Reliably tasty food and good service. Convenient place for a work lunch, probably the best option on that section of Victoria Pde. Calamari, chips and salad on Fridays – highly recommended.
I like thus place because it’s handy on my way to work. Always have brekky here but they have now decided that toast should be served on bread boards and you butter and spread your own toast. Obviously that is more profitable for them. If I wanted toast like this I would make it at home myself. Time to look for a new brekky spot. Perhaps there is way more money doing catering for pollies than people!
Popular… I wonder why?. I work near here and I don’t think I have ever been served such a tiny serving of salad… maybe the girls serving are more generous but the man is so mingy…. I guess I should have gone to Madame Brussels which is a bit of a walk but good food done generously.
