Burnt milk and slightly bitter coffee. Also it would be great if the barista read the dockets – a small flat white in a keep cup doesn’t need to be filled to the top.

Close to work, but still pretty good quality food. The service is friendly and efficient and i particularly like the salads here. The salt and pepper squid is also pretty yum!

Would recommend for a solid work lunch or take away joint – esp if you’re in the area.

I’ve visited Mr Tod 3 times and it’s a bit difficult to rate because I’m not a fan of the coffee (not good and way overpriced), lunch was OK but absolutely no pricing anywhere (I even sent an enquiry to them and they said that was deliberate – partially because they had a ‘large variety of options’ [in my view the options were pretty standard and not that large] and partially because they encourage their staff to converse with customers about choice and price – honestly on a rushed lunch break that does not suit me at all), but they exceed in their after-work drinks and nibbles options (VERY generous pour of wine, great selection of snacks very well priced [and prices displayed]). Change your policy about pricing (I literally cannot think of another cafe that doesn’t display its prices) and I may revisit during the day…otherwise it will be a strictly after-work thing only.

A friendly Mr. T. A rebranding and refresh of the former Commune has jazzed up the furnishings – and improved the food, which was great when Commune started but had deteriorated over the years.

Set into the side of Tasma Terrace, home to the National Trust in Victoria, Mr. T with its cute fox branding blends traditional charm with trendy offerings. My most recent visit was a late lunch mercy dash, which came up trumps with a tasty quinoa and roasted vegie (carrot, pumpkin, parsnip & brussel sprout) salad. The small size ($9.90; large $12.90) was more than enough food although it was so yummy l probably wound have tried to cram in more. And l really appreciated the very helpful lady behind the counter helping guide my famished indecision towards food!
