In the running for Melbourne’s best burger. Coffee never disappoints and the service is friendly and neighbourly. Excellent reasonably priced food you can take to the gardens, tennis or the G.
Lucky to have this as our local

Great food, good coffee. Bread is amazing! Nice inside, nothing to absolutely rave about but would definitely come back. Lots of room for larger groups too.
Pleasant little space off one of Melbourne’s hidden treasures, The charming Wellington Road South. I was rushed and only had a coffee this morning. Sadly, I found it disappointing. It looked good but tasted bitter and needed sugar to counteract that unpleasant and unexpected taste. Not the start to the day I was after. I hope my experience was a one off.

Nice little place. Dropped in on spec for a quick lunch. The vegetable frittata was excellent and served with a nice little salad. The coffee was creamy and very nice. Good service too from a very nice North American young woman. I shall return.
Yes mugs has changed hands – food is a little different give it a go and make up your own mind. The previous owners were named Bridgland so I wouldnt take to much from Simon Bridglands review
As he is the son. – sad really
Agree…this place is not what it used to be. I live in one of the apartments above…..the business changed hands last year after a lovely family took over the place and decked out the place with an awesome renovation and introduced classy tapas and wine of a night time. After building up the business, they elected to sell it and pursuer further opportunities. Unfortunately since then, the place has rapidly gone downhill. I love for the place to be revamped again and back to what it used to be when the previous owners completely changed the place and called it Mugs Alley.
Need a New Muffin Man. The caf was originally really good but think that it has since gone downhill, especially those dry tasteless muffins….we need them to be moist!
