Mookata – something that is pretty common in Malaysia or Singapore but is quite unheard of here in Melbourne.

Came here to try out their bbq+hotpot set ($30 for 2 person) for dinner. Delighted with both the servings of vege and meat & the grill and soup options with the hotpot. The waitresses were pretty attentive as well, the soup of the hotpot will be topped up frequently when needed.

The sauce of the mookata was AMAZINGGGGG. The savoury sauce tasted sour yet (mild) spicy and it complemented the meat given with the set. The meat was well marinated and the vege was more than enough for two pax!

Overall, it was a good dining experience there at Nana. Eating there brought back nostalgic memories of being in Thailand 🙂 Would definitely pop by again to try their other dishes and savor the mookata again!

Never had mookata in Thailand, but this is really good based on my experience of having it in Singapore. Its just really simple, tasty and affordable.

Among the five of us with rather small to average appetites, we were able to share the bbq set for two, with four bowls of rice and one side dish. I think we got something called the crispy pork belly. The meat and seafood tasted fresh, and the pork belly was really crispy and savoury. We came up to only $11 each, which is great. Will definitely be back again!

I went to this place yesterday. For me the portion are a little small but very good flavour, we tried tendon soup, fried pork belly and the combination grill. My favourite was the tendon soup … Is a very small place but make you feel in Thailand

Located in the alleyway between 2 parking lots, this place is called soi38 in the morning and nana moojum at night so if you cant find this place just look for soi38.. we ordered Thai BBQ for 2 for $30 (the set comes with some marinated meats, prawns, squid, livers, noodles, vegetables, mushroom, egg.. we also ordered some other dishes including raw prawns with spicy sauce, grilled pork neck, spicy beef tendon soup and also a few Singha beers to share among 3 person.. my favourite was the raw prawn as I love the spicy sauce on it.. it was the right balance of sour & spicy.. the spicy beef tendon soup also a surprise to me.. as the beef was very tender and the soup was surprisingly fragrant.. the barbecue was ok and I think the next time I come here I would probably just order the dishes and have that with sticky rice or noodles.. overall a good feed and will be back for more..
