Got a mouldy meat&vegetable paste from Longbeach Bakery after 3pm today. Took a few bites of the paste, looked inside and found it was mouldy. Couldn’t believe what I was eating. Returnt back to the bakery to show them, conveniently was told the owner has left for the day and return back tomorrow. wanted to make consumers aware of this. A formal complaint will be made to food safety victoria, so this doesn’t happen to anybody else. WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!!
A small bakery/cafe in the Cheslea shopping strip. Its fare includes the usual baked goods and cakes one would expect. I have enjoyed one of their veggie pasties there on several occasions, and they are quite good. The decor is nothing to speak of – quite utilitarian, with just a few basic chairs and tables, as well as some kerbside tables. However, the service is very friendly and accommodating. Good for a quick bite or a pie or pastie on the go.
