Straight and Narrow is a trendy-ish cafe on Nepean Highway in Chelsea, having opened perhaps a year ago. The dcor is quite slick, with polished boards and a white colour scheme with charcoal features on the counter and walls. Blonde wood timber tabletops with simple brown timber chairs, complement this modern interior design. The dining space is modest but sufficient, and low level funk music in the background added to a relaxed ambience. The menu incorporates a reasonable variety of fare, but it would be nice to see a greater range of choice of vegetarian and vegan options. On my visit I simply ordered coffee and fruit toast. The coffee was good, served at an appropriate temperature and with no bitter aftertaste (so, extracted properly), and the fruit toast was quite okay. It would have been preferable to be offered some water, however, the service was nevertheless welcoming and attentive.
