It’s hard not to give in to my sweet tooth at Benjamin’s. With a huge cabinet filled with cookies, a fridge filled with cakes and pastries, and even more baked goods next to the counter, I just had to indulge.

While all the sweets were all sourced off-site, I was advised that most were delivered fresh every morning. The jam doughnut was a testament of that. Lovely soft textures, and beautiful flavours. The cookies were up my alley too, with their crumbly texture and not too sweet taste.

My latte was very hot, and only drinkable after a while. It was rather pleasant tasting after it had cooled down.

Would have been just an average cafe if not for the extremely helpful and friendly service. One of the ladies behind the counter saw a man on a wheelchair trying to enter the premises and ran out to assist, while the other was ready and happy to chat with all customers.

Benjamin’s Patisserie is perhaps one of the more expensive cafes along Glenhuntly Road, yet for a few extra dollars it is worth it in my humble opinion.

This cafe is impeccably clean and the staff very efficient and friendly. Their huge range of pastries, biscuits and cakes are mind-blowing and sure to please even the pickiest of sweet-tooths. They also have a large range of pies, sandwiches, focaccias, croissants and quiches that can be heated for takeaway or dining in.I particularly enjoy their Skinny Lattes and also love their enthusiasm for re-usable coffee mugs. If you buy one of their Vittoria branded re-usable mugs, they will discount $0.30 off every coffee purchase.

This small cafe is a perfect place for a quick bite to eat. Food is nice, however the cafe feels as if it’s misisng something to really make this place a stand out.
