The falafel is fresh and when mixed with the salad and dips makes for a healthy and hearty meal. You get what you pay for and is rather refreshing to have a DIY salad bar in a place like this.
The chips are a highlight and were perfectly cooked and spiced .
Best falafel ever! I had the falafel pocket and it was absolutely delicious. This place is ages from where I live, but I’ll definitely be coming back.
Food is dry and unappealing.
The chef needs to go to Falafal Omisi down the road to learn how to cook delicious food.
Very disappointing. Will not be back.
Salad was fresh which is about the only good thing I have to say.
This place has a bit of work to do. Service was slow and they brought out the wrong order. The Chicken Mediterranean wrap was very average with little creativity and or flavour. I didn’t try the falafels as they didn’t look appetising on display; very small and over fried.
A decent fast food joint for Mediterranean food. Makes it healthier than other fast food options. The dips are nice but salads don’t look so fresh. Falafels are soft and crunchy. Chicken was juicy. Priced well too. I can see myself coming back.
Salads were tasty and fresh but the felafels were really average and dry.. Tasted like they’d been sitting there a while, would prefer to wait 5 mins have them fresh. Friendly staff, quick service, nice looking place. Just a bit of work on the felafel and all good!
Hmm, so I wanted to like it here. I usually go to Falafel Extra in St Kilda, but Mama Falafel was on the way so we thought we’d try it out. There wasn’t nearly as much salad selection to choose from, we went with two falafel wraps with their pre-made salad choices because honestly they all read pretty much the same. Also got a large chips with tomato sauce extra (seemed to be the only vegan option for sauces?).
The wraps were pretty mediocre, they lacked any kind of distinctive taste or punch, I would have liked more pickled items in there and definitely more salt. The wrap bread was a little thick, the actual falafels were disappointing, moist and soft, very underseasoned, no crunch. Overall a bit… meh?
The chips were kind of tough, very underseasoned, and they forgot our tomato sauce.
Falafel wraps are one of my favourite foods, and I wanted to like this place, but there needs to be more seasoning, more vinegar, more texture, and more thought put into the ingredients.
