This place has the best coffee. I won’t go anywhere else. Their mushroom focaccias are so yummy and on the weekend they do an amazing fill egg brioche which to me is better than any breakfast you can get on Glen Huntley road. One of my favourites.

It is rare to describe bread as fabulous but put simply the taste of the bread at Olia Bakery is just that, fabulous. Regardless of whether you buy the french sticks, baguettes or any of the other amazing breads, you will be amazed as we have been by a quality that rises above the norm to deliver something genuinely worth writing about. Buon Apeptito.

The best bagels in Melbourne are not at Glick’s or Aviv. They are at a little bakery on Glenhuntly road called Olia.

The 3.4 rating must be from competitors.

Fantastic pastries, breads and oreo croffins. It’s so hard to pick what to buy as everything is displayed so beautifully. Tiny, unassuming bakery but a must try.

Excellent almond croissants; the chocolate variety are not too shabby either. Had a take away coffee once which was a little weak for mine and that was enough to shave half a point off the otherwise small, family-feel. The pastries are, as suggested, first rate.

Divine!. This tiny bakery is a crowning jewel in the Elsternwick area! The owners are a lovely husband and wife team who offer delicious delights just like your great grandma used to make. Butter bashers can just stay at home because the pastries here are so fabulously flaky and light you will wonder how your cheese danish doesn’t fly away. The ricotta filling has just the right amount of sweetness and slight lemony tang. Almond croissant has those slivers of toasted almond scales on top that give a little crunch to the soft sweet bread beneath. Not that sweet treats are all that’s on offer here. As far as I’m concerned, Olia makes the best baguette I’ve had outside France. Golden and crunchy on the outside; white, soft and chewy on the inside. Heaven!

If you haven’t tried this place please do yourself a favour and get there now!

Best bread in Elsternwick. We are close by so we need to declare that conflict but otherwise this is a fantastic bakery with very beautifully crafted bread. Please give them a try you won’t be disappointed.
